The plot summary
The plot of this story is a few men had a idea of sending children chocolate or candy in Berlin, but they had no way of doing it. So, they figured out how to do it. They would use the plane to drop the candy over the children near the air base where they would land. When started people to hear about the drops they started helping them get the things they need to drop the candy and also to buy the candy. This is the plot summary of the book Candy Bomber.

Gail S. Halvorsen : The Chocolate Pilot
Born in Salt Lake City on October 10, 1920. He was a lieutenant in the US Army Air Force. One of his nicknames was Uncle Wiggly Wings and Candy Bomber. During WWII they had lots of slang. Which he might have said or used. His actions made history during WWII . One of the things that motivated Halvorsen to do these things, was because he saw what had happened to Berlin and wanted to make the children of Berlin happy. |

Michael O. Tunnell is an American children's writer. He was born on June 14, 1950. Some of the books Tunnell wrote was Candy Bomber, The Children Of Topaz, and Brothers in Valor. He went to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a educator and a teacher. He is now a children's book writer.
